Take a healthy stem cutting with at least one node and one or two leaves
Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Cut just below a node
Remove any leaves that would sit below the water or soil line
Let the cutting dry for a few hours if the stem is very fresh
Place the cutting in water, sphagnum moss, perlite, or a well-draining potting mix
Keep one node in contact with the propagation medium
Place in bright, indirect light
Keep the medium lightly moist, not soggy
Maintain warm temperatures
Wait for roots to develop before potting up
Transfer rooted cuttings into a small pot with a chunky, well-draining mix
Water sparingly after potting
Keep the new plant in bright, indirect light while it establishes
Avoid disturbing the roots during early growth
