Hold one chopstick between your thumb and ring finger, resting it on the base of your index finger
Hold the other chopstick like a pencil between your thumb, index finger, and middle finger
Keep the bottom chopstick still
Move only the top chopstick up and down to grip food
Pick up small pieces of food by gently pinching them between the chopsticks
Lift the food carefully to your mouth
Use the edge of the bowl or plate to help steady food if needed
Do not stab food with chopsticks
Do not cross the chopsticks while eating
Put the chopsticks down neatly when not in use
Rest them on a chopstick rest or across your plate when finished
