Open the Photos app
Tap Library or Albums
Tap Select
Tap the photos you want to delete
Tap the Trash icon
Tap Delete Photos to confirm
To delete from an album, open the album, tap Select, choose photos, then tap the Trash icon
To delete all photos in an album, tap Select, choose all photos, then tap the Trash icon
To remove photos from iCloud on all devices, make sure iCloud Photos is enabled before deleting
Open Recently Deleted in the Photos app
Tap Select
Tap Delete All or select photos and tap Delete
Confirm deletion to permanently remove them
To delete photos from the Files app, open Files, select the photo, tap Delete, then empty Recently Deleted if needed
