Rinse 2–3 tablespoons of alfalfa seeds
Soak seeds in cool water for 6–8 hours
Drain the soaking water completely
Place seeds in a sprouting jar, tray, or sprouter
Keep the container in a dark or dim place
Rinse and drain the seeds 2–3 times daily
Spread seeds out after each rinse to improve airflow
Keep the sprouts at room temperature
Harvest when sprouts are 3–5 days old
Rinse one final time before eating
Refrigerate harvested sprouts in a sealed container
Use sprouts within a few days for best freshness
