Turn off the power source
Identify the switch terminals
Strip the wire ends
Connect the power wire to the input terminal
Connect the load wire to the output terminal
Connect the ground wire if required
Tighten all terminal screws
Insulate any exposed wire
Mount the switch securely
Restore power and test the switch
