Disconnect the negative battery cable
Remove the steering column covers
Locate the ignition switch on the steering column or behind the ignition lock cylinder
Remove any retaining screws, bolts, or clips
Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition switch
Remove the old ignition switch
Align the new ignition switch in the same position
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reinstall the retaining screws, bolts, or clips
Reinstall the steering column covers
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Test the ignition switch with the key in all positions
