How to Timing Belt Replacement?

Set the engine to top dead center on cylinder one

Release the timing belt tensioner

Replace worn timing components as needed

Install the new timing belt in the correct routing

Align all timing marks exactly

Apply proper tension to the belt

Rotate the engine by hand two full revolutions

Recheck timing mark alignment

Reinstall all removed components

Reconnect the battery

Start the engine and check for proper operation

Inspect for unusual noise or leaks
