Wash the scratched area with car soap and water
Dry the area completely with a clean microfiber towel
Inspect the scratch to see if it is only on the clear coat or deeper into the paint
Apply scratch remover or rubbing compound with a microfiber applicator
Buff the area in small circular motions
Wipe away residue with a clean microfiber cloth
Repeat if needed until the scratch is reduced
Use touch-up paint if the scratch reaches the base coat or primer
Let the touch-up paint dry fully
Apply clear coat over the touch-up paint if needed
Polish the repaired area to blend the finish
Apply wax or sealant to protect the area
If the scratch is deep or large, take the car to a body shop
