Gently rotate the stick while blowing around the base
Use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab
Clean around the stick base without soaking the controller
Reset the PS5 controller using the small reset button on the back
Re-pair the controller to the PS5 with a USB cable
Update the controller firmware through the PS5
Increase the dead zone in game settings if available
Test the controller in multiple games to confirm the issue
Replace worn analog stick modules if the drift continues
Contact Sony support if the controller is under warranty
Replace the controller if repair is not practical
