Turn off the PS5 completely
Unplug the power cable and all other cables
Place the console on a flat, clean surface
Remove the stand if attached
Hold the console firmly with the PS logo facing up
Grip the top corner of the cover
Slide the cover upward and outward
Lift the cover off carefully
Repeat for the other cover if needed
