Remove the carrot tops
Do not wash carrots before storing unless they are very dirty
Pat carrots dry if they are damp
Wrap carrots in a paper towel
Place wrapped carrots in a perforated plastic bag or airtight container
Store them in the crisper drawer
Keep carrots away from ethylene-producing fruits like apples and pears
Replace the paper towel if it becomes wet
Use within 2 to 4 weeks for best freshness
