Gather supplies: hydro dip film, water tank or large container, spray paint, activator, gloves, sandpaper, masking tape, and clear coat
Clean the item thoroughly
Sand the surface lightly
Mask off any areas you do not want dipped
Paint the base coat and let it dry completely
Fill the tank with warm water
Cut the hydro dip film to size
Place the film on the water surface with the correct side facing up
Let the film hydrate for the recommended time
Spray activator evenly over the film
Slowly dip the item into the water at a steady angle
Submerge the item fully
Remove the item from the water carefully
Rinse off residue with clean water
Let the item dry completely
Apply clear coat
Let the clear coat cure fully
