How to Bake Trout?

Preheat the oven to 400°F

Pat the trout dry

Line a baking sheet or dish with parchment paper or lightly oil it

Place the trout on the prepared baking sheet

Season the trout with salt and pepper

Add lemon slices, garlic, herbs, or butter if desired

Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness

Check that the flesh flakes easily with a fork

Remove from the oven

Serve immediately
