Thaw lobster tails completely if frozen
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Use kitchen shears to cut the top shell lengthwise down the center
Gently loosen the meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base
Lift the meat slightly and rest it on top of the shell
Brush lobster meat with melted butter or oil
Season with salt, pepper, garlic, or preferred spices
Place lobster tails shell-side down on the grill
Grill with the lid closed for about 5 to 8 minutes
Baste with butter once or twice while grilling
Cook until the meat is opaque and firm
Check for an internal temperature of 140 to 145°F
Remove from grill immediately
Serve with lemon wedges and melted butter
