How to Care for Dog Bite?

Wash your hands before treating the bite

Stop any bleeding with clean gauze or cloth and gentle pressure

Rinse the wound under running water for several minutes

Clean around the bite with mild soap and water

Apply an antiseptic if available

Cover the wound with a sterile bandage

Change the bandage daily or when it gets wet or dirty
