Turn off and unplug the drill or remove the battery
Open the chuck by turning it counterclockwise or using the chuck key
Remove the old drill bit
Insert the new drill bit into the chuck
Center the bit and push it in securely
Tighten the chuck by turning it clockwise or using the chuck key
Check that the bit is held firmly
Reconnect power or reinstall the battery
