Unplug the staple gun or remove the battery if it is electric or cordless
Check the staple size and type required for the staple gun
Open the staple magazine or loading chamber
Pull back the spring-loaded pusher if present
Insert the staple strip into the magazine with the legs facing down
Make sure the staple strip is seated properly in the track
Release the pusher slowly so it presses against the staples
Close the magazine or loading chamber securely
Test the staple gun on scrap material before use
