Turn off the cooker hood and unplug it or switch off the power
Remove the filter from the hood
Check the filter type before cleaning
Soak metal grease filters in hot water with dish soap
Add baking soda for stubborn grease if needed
Scrub gently with a soft brush or sponge
Rinse thoroughly with clean water
Dry completely before reinstalling
Wash dishwasher-safe filters in the dishwasher on a hot cycle
Clean or replace charcoal filters according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Wipe the filter housing and surrounding area before putting the filter back
Reinstall the filter securely
Clean the filter regularly to prevent grease buildup
