Turn off power to the kitchen circuit at the breaker
Remove the old microwave, if present
Measure the cabinet opening and wall space
Locate and mark the wall studs
Check the microwave installation template and mounting bracket position
Install the mounting bracket on the wall
Drill the required holes for the vent and mounting hardware
Prepare the upper cabinet for the power cord and mounting bolts
Set the microwave’s venting mode to recirculating or external venting as needed
Lift the microwave into place with help from another person
Hook the microwave onto the mounting bracket
Secure the microwave to the upper cabinet with the mounting bolts
Install the rear or top exhaust adapter if required
Connect the power cord to the outlet
Reinstall the grease filter and charcoal filter if applicable
Restore power at the breaker
Test the microwave, light, fan, and turntable
Check that the unit is level and firmly mounted
