Turn off the washing machine and unplug it
Locate the filter or lint trap
Place a towel or shallow tray under the filter area
Open the filter cover
Drain any remaining water
Remove the filter
Remove lint, debris, coins, hair, and buildup
Rinse the filter under warm water
Clean the filter housing with a cloth or soft brush
Check the drain pump area for trapped debris
Reinsert the filter securely
Close the filter cover
Plug the machine back in
Run a short test cycle
Clean the filter regularly
