Turn off the ice machine and unplug it
Remove all ice from the bin
Take out removable parts such as the bin, scoop, and water filter
Wash removable parts with warm water and mild dish soap
Rinse all parts thoroughly
Mix the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution with water
Run the cleaning cycle if the machine has one
Wipe interior surfaces with a soft cloth or sponge
Clean the evaporator, water reservoir, and other accessible parts
Scrub mineral buildup with a soft brush if needed
Sanitize all food-contact surfaces with a manufacturer-approved sanitizer
Rinse any parts that require rinsing after sanitizing
Reinstall all cleaned parts
Replace the water filter if needed
Turn the machine back on
Run a full batch of ice and discard the first batch
Clean the ice machine regularly according to the manufacturer’s schedule
