How to Decalcify a Keurig?

Turn off and unplug the Keurig

Remove any K-Cup pod from the brewer

Empty the water reservoir

Remove the water filter, if installed

Fill the reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water, or use Keurig descaling solution mixed as directed

Place a large mug on the drip tray

Run a brew cycle without a pod

Discard the hot liquid

Repeat until the reservoir is empty

Let the brewer sit for 30 minutes

Rinse the reservoir thoroughly

Fill the reservoir with fresh water

Run multiple brew cycles with plain water until the vinegar or descaling solution is gone

Wipe the exterior and drip tray

Reinstall the water filter, if removed
