Pat mahi fillets dry with paper towels

Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder or paprika

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with oil or butter

Place fillets in the hot skillet

Cook 3 to 4 minutes on the first side

Flip carefully

Cook 2 to 4 minutes on the second side until opaque and flaky

Remove from heat

Serve immediately with lemon or your preferred sauce
