Unplug the power supply from the wall
Disconnect the air pump from power
Remove all bedding, mattress protector, and sheets
Deflate the mattress using the Sleep Number remote or app
Wait until the mattress is fully deflated
Remove the mattress top cover if applicable
Open the mattress zipper or access panel
Disconnect the air hoses from the air chambers
Label the hoses if needed for reassembly
Remove the air chambers from inside the mattress
Remove the foam comfort layers or inserts
Disconnect any cables from the control unit
Remove the control unit or pump assembly
Detach the base components if your model has a modular base
Remove the legs from the base if present
Separate the bed frame pieces
Fold or roll the mattress components carefully
Place all hardware, connectors, and small parts in labeled bags
Keep the assembly instructions for reassembly
Move each component separately to avoid damage
