Check the power cable and wall outlet
Plug the console directly into a wall outlet
Reseat the power cable on both ends
Try a different power cable if available
Disconnect all accessories and external drives
Remove any USB devices, discs, and expansion cards
Power cycle the console
Turn off the console
Unplug the power cable for 60 seconds
Plug it back in and turn it on
Perform a hard reset
Hold the power button for 10 seconds
Wait 30 seconds
Turn the console back on
Check the HDMI connection
Reseat the HDMI cable
Try a different HDMI cable
Try a different TV or monitor
Boot into the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter
Turn off the console
Press and hold the Pair and Eject buttons
Press the Xbox button
Keep holding Pair and Eject until the troubleshooter appears
Select Restart this Xbox
Select Reset this Xbox and keep games and apps
Select Reset this Xbox and remove everything
Update the console offline
Use the Xbox Offline System Update file
Reinstall the system software if needed
Check for overheating
Move the console to a well-ventilated area
Let it cool down before retrying
Remove and reinsert the storage expansion card
Test booting without the expansion card
Test booting without external storage
Check for error codes on the screen
Search the code in Xbox support
Try Safe Mode options in the troubleshooter
Factory reset as a last resort
Contact Xbox Support if the console still will not boot
