Offer frequent feedings to keep the baby hydrated
Keep the baby away from smoke, dust, and strong odors
Use a steamy bathroom for a few minutes before suctioning
Keep the baby’s sleep area clear and safe
Monitor for fever, trouble breathing, poor feeding, or worsening symptoms
Contact a pediatrician if congestion is severe, persistent, or the baby is very young
