Move the frozen breast milk to the refrigerator and let it thaw slowly
Place the sealed container or bag in a bowl of warm water
Hold the container under warm running water
Use the thawed milk within 24 hours if kept in the refrigerator
Use thawed milk within 2 hours if warmed to room temperature
Do not refreeze thawed breast milk
Do not microwave breast milk
Swirl gently to mix separated fat before feeding
