Persistent hallucinations, such as hearing voices or seeing things others do not
Strongly held false beliefs that do not change even with evidence
Disorganized thinking or speech that is hard to follow
Trouble distinguishing what is real from what is not
Unusual or very disorganized behavior
Reduced emotional expression or seeming emotionally flat
Withdrawal from friends, family, or activities
Trouble functioning at work, school, or daily life
Symptoms lasting for at least 6 months, with at least 1 month of active symptoms
Symptoms not better explained by drugs, alcohol, medical conditions, or another mental health disorder

Seek urgent help if there are thoughts of self-harm, harm to others, or severe confusion
