Cut a ribbon length about 2–3 times the desired finished bow width
Fold the ribbon into a loop (make the first loop)
Make a second loop of the same size opposite the first
Cross the loops in the center
Pinch the center firmly with one hand
Wrap the remaining ribbon around the pinched center (back and forth)
Pull the ribbon end through the loop you created at the center (or through the wrapped center)
Tighten until the loops are secure
Trim the ends into straight ends, angled ends, or V-shaped tails
Fluff and adjust the loops evenly
Secure the center with a small stitch, hot glue, or a twist tie if needed
Attach the bow to a gift or decor by tying or gluing the center to the item
