How to Make Chapati Step by Step?

Take 2 cups whole wheat flour in a bowl

Add 1/2 teaspoon salt

Add 1 tablespoon oil

Add water little by little

Mix and knead into a soft dough

Cover the dough and rest for 20 to 30 minutes

Divide the dough into small equal balls

Dust one ball with dry flour

Roll it into a thin round chapati

Heat a tawa or pan on medium-high heat

Place the rolled chapati on the hot tawa

Cook until small bubbles appear

Flip and cook the other side

Press lightly with a spatula until it puffs and cooks evenly

Remove from heat

Apply ghee or butter if desired

Repeat with the remaining dough balls
