How To Make Glutinous Rice?

Rinse glutinous rice 3 to 5 times until the water runs mostly clear

Soak the rice in water for 4 to 8 hours or overnight

Drain the soaked rice thoroughly

Place the rice in a steamer lined with cheesecloth or a clean cloth

Steam over boiling water for 20 to 30 minutes

Flip or stir the rice halfway through steaming for even cooking

Add a little hot water if the rice seems dry

Steam until the grains are tender, sticky, and translucent

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes

Serve warm or use in your recipe
