How to Make Khakhra?

Mix whole wheat flour, gram flour, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, ajwain, and oil

Add water gradually and knead into a stiff dough

Cover the dough and rest it for 15 to 20 minutes

Divide the dough into small balls

Roll each ball into a very thin disc

Heat a tawa or skillet on low flame

Place the rolled disc on the hot tawa

Cook one side for a few seconds

Flip and cook the other side

Press gently with a cloth, spatula, or khakhra press while cooking

Keep turning and pressing until the khakhra becomes crisp and golden

Apply ghee or oil if desired

Cool completely on a wire rack

Store in an airtight container
