Freeze string cheese sticks for 30 minutes
Cut each string cheese stick in half if desired
Set out 3 bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs
Season breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder
Coat each cheese piece in flour
Dip each piece in egg
Coat in breadcrumbs
Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for a thicker crust
Freeze coated sticks for 15 to 30 minutes
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F
Fry sticks in small batches for 30 to 60 seconds until golden
Drain on paper towels
Serve with marinara sauce
