Score the wallpaper border lightly with a scoring tool or utility knife
Fill a spray bottle with warm water and a few drops of dish soap
Spray the border thoroughly and let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes
Use a putty knife or scraper to lift an edge
Peel the border back slowly at a low angle
Reapply warm water to stubborn sections as needed
Use a wallpaper removal solution for adhesive that will not loosen
Scrape off remaining adhesive with a putty knife
Wipe the wall clean with a damp sponge
Let the wall dry completely before repainting or applying new wallpaper
