Cut along both edges of the caulk with a sharp utility knife or caulk removal tool
Lift and peel away the loosened silicone with pliers or your fingers
Scrape off remaining residue with a plastic scraper or razor blade held at a low angle
Apply a silicone caulk remover gel to stubborn residue and let it sit as directed
Wipe away softened residue with a cloth or paper towel
Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol or mineral spirits if compatible with the material
Wash the area with soap and water and dry thoroughly
Repeat scraping and remover application until all silicone is gone
