Use a standard 52-card deck
Each player starts with 6 cards
Each player discards 2 cards face down to form the crib
The non-dealer cuts the deck
The dealer turns up the top card from the remaining deck as the starter card
If the starter card is a Jack, the dealer scores 2 points
Players take turns playing one card at a time
Keep a running total of the cards played
Do not play a card that makes the total go over 31
Score 2 points for reaching exactly 15
Score 2 points for reaching exactly 31
Score 2 points for a pair
Score 6 points for three of a kind
Score 12 points for four of a kind
Score points for runs of 3 or more cards
Score 1 point for each card played after the first in a sequence of the same suit during the play
When both players cannot play without going over 31, reset the count to 0
The last player to play a card scores 1 point if the count does not end at 31
After all cards are played, both players score their hands
The dealer scores the crib as well
Score hands using pairs, runs, 15s, flushes, and nobs
A flush in the hand scores 4 points if all 4 cards are the same suit
A flush in the hand scores 5 points if the starter card matches the suit too
Nobs scores 1 point for a Jack matching the starter card suit
The first player to reach 121 points wins
