Deal 3 face-down cards to each player as the palace
Deal 3 face-up cards on top of the face-down cards
Deal 3 cards to each player’s hand
Place the remaining cards as a draw pile
Turn the top card of the draw pile face up to start the discard pile
On your turn, play one or more cards of the same rank from your hand, your face-up cards, or your face-down cards
The card or cards played must be equal to or higher than the current top discard card, unless using a special card
After playing, draw back up to 3 cards in hand if needed
If you cannot play, pick up the entire discard pile into your hand
When your face-up cards are gone, play from your face-down cards blindly
Special cards usually include 2, 10, and 7
A 2 resets the pile and can be played on any card
A 10 clears the discard pile and lets the same player play again
A 7 lowers the required rank for the next player
Continue until a player gets rid of all cards from hand, face-up cards, and face-down cards
The first player to empty all cards wins
