Choose a healthy, disease-free rose stem
Cut a 6–8 inch stem just below a leaf node
Remove flowers, buds, and lower leaves
Keep 2–3 leaves at the top
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone
Fill a pot with moist, well-draining potting mix
Insert the cutting into the soil
Firm the soil around the stem
Water lightly
Cover the cutting with a clear plastic bag or dome
Place it in bright, indirect light
Keep the soil consistently moist
Remove the cover briefly each day for air circulation
Wait for roots to develop
Transplant the rooted cutting into a larger pot or garden bed
