Open Microsoft Word
Go to File
Select Info
Click Manage Document
Choose Recover Unsaved Documents
Open the most recent unsaved file
Save it immediately with a new name
Check the AutoRecover folder
Search for files with .asd or .wbk extensions
Open Word and look for Document Recovery pane
Review recent files in Word
Search your computer for temporary Word files
Check the Recycle Bin
Restore from OneDrive or SharePoint version history
Use File History or a backup if available
