Trim the artificial nails as short as possible
Gently lift the edge of each nail with a cuticle stick or orange wood stick
Slide dental floss or a thin string under the lifted edge and work it back and forth
Soak nails in warm, soapy water for 20 to 30 minutes
Add a little oil to the warm water to help loosen the adhesive
Re-soak and repeat gentle lifting if the nails do not come off easily
Use a nail file to thin the artificial nail surface before trying again
Apply cuticle oil or olive oil around the edges to help weaken the bond
For press-on nails, twist and lift gently after soaking
For glue-on nails, avoid pulling or forcing them off
If any nail resists, stop and soak longer
Buff away leftover glue after removal
Wash hands and moisturize nails and cuticles afterward
