Turn off the water supply
Plug the drain
Remove the faucet handle
Remove the trim plate
Inspect the cartridge, valve, and O-rings
Replace worn or damaged parts
Clean mineral buildup from components
Reinstall the cartridge and trim
Reattach the handle
Turn the water supply back on
Test for leaks and proper temperature control
