Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Locate the camshaft sensor on the engine
Remove any engine covers or components blocking access
Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor
Remove the mounting bolt or bolts
Pull the old sensor out carefully
Compare the old sensor with the new sensor
Clean the sensor mounting area
Install the new sensor into place
Reinstall the mounting bolt or bolts
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reinstall any removed covers or components
Reconnect the negative battery terminal
Start the engine and check for warning lights or trouble codes
