Turn the ignition off
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Reconnect the battery terminal
Turn the ignition key to ON without starting the engine
Leave it on for 1 to 3 minutes
Turn the ignition off
Start the engine and let it idle
Let the engine warm up fully
Drive the vehicle normally for a short distance
Use an OBD2 scanner to clear throttle-related codes if needed
Perform a throttle relearn procedure if required by the vehicle manufacturer
