Click the first cell or range
Hold Ctrl on Windows or Command on Mac
Click each additional non-adjacent cell or range
Release the key after selecting all desired cells
Use Shift only for selecting adjacent cells, not non-adjacent cells
To select entire non-adjacent rows or columns, hold Ctrl or Command and click the row or column headers
To deselect a mistakenly selected cell, hold Ctrl or Command and click it again
