Assemble the pole sections in order
Extend the pole to the desired length
Attach the pole top kit or elastic setup
Thread the line through the pole tip or connector
Tie on the float, shot, hook, and any other terminal tackle
Set the float depth to match the fishing spot
Attach the rig to the pole using the connector or loop
Check that all knots and connections are secure
Prepare the landing net and keep it within reach
Test the rig in the water and adjust the float if needed
