Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable surface
Plug the coffee maker into an outlet
Open the water reservoir lid
Add cold water to the desired number of cups
Insert a paper filter or permanent filter, if required
Add ground coffee to the filter
Close the filter basket
Place the carafe on the warming plate
Turn the coffee maker on
Wait for brewing to finish
Pour the coffee into a cup
Turn the coffee maker off when done
Unplug the coffee maker if needed
Remove and discard the used coffee grounds
Wash the carafe, filter basket, and filter if reusable
Descale the machine regularly if needed
