Park on a flat, stable surface
Put the vehicle in park or gear and engage the parking brake
Turn on hazard lights
Loosen the lug nuts slightly before lifting the vehicle
Place wheel chocks behind the opposite wheels
Position the jack at the correct lift point
Raise the vehicle until the tire is off the ground
Remove the lug nuts completely
Remove the tire
Align the replacement tire with the wheel studs
Put the lug nuts on by hand
Tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern
Lower the vehicle until the tire touches the ground
Tighten the lug nuts fully in a crisscross pattern
Lower the vehicle completely
Recheck lug nut tightness after driving a short distance
