Cut the bread into 1/2-inch to 1-inch cubes
Spread the bread in a single layer on baking sheets
Leave the bread uncovered at room temperature for 1 to 2 days
Stir or flip the bread once or twice for even drying
Bake at 250°F to 300°F for 20 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until dry
Let the bread cool completely before using
Use stale bread if you want to reduce drying time
Dry different bread types separately if they have different moisture levels
