How to Lay Sheet Vinyl Flooring?

Measure the room and buy enough sheet vinyl with extra for trimming

Remove baseboards, doors, and old flooring if needed

Clean the subfloor thoroughly

Repair cracks, holes, and uneven spots in the subfloor

Make sure the subfloor is dry, smooth, and level

Acclimate the vinyl in the room if recommended by the manufacturer

Roll out the sheet vinyl and let it relax

Position the vinyl in the room and align the pattern or seams

Trim the vinyl roughly to fit the room

Make final cuts around walls, corners, and obstacles

Apply adhesive if using glue-down vinyl

Press the vinyl into place from the center outward

Use a floor roller to remove air bubbles and ensure adhesion

Seal seams if the installation requires seam tape or seam sealer

Reinstall baseboards and trim

Rehang doors if needed

Clean the floor according to the manufacturer’s instructions
