How to Eat a Whole Lobster?

Place the lobster on a cutting board or large plate

Twist off the claws and knuckles

Crack the claws and remove the meat

Twist off the tail

Separate the tail shell from the meat

Remove the tail vein if present

Pull out the tail meat and eat it

Break off the small legs

Squeeze or use a tool to extract the meat from the legs

Open the knuckles and remove the meat

Split the body in half

Pick out any remaining meat from the body chambers

Eat the tomalley if desired

Eat the roe if present and desired

Use melted butter, lemon, or seasoning as desired

Discard shells and inedible parts
